Jenni's Inspiration Behind The Leather Field Boots

The Italian Leather Field Boots are a gorgeous new footwear style that we featured in our Summer 2016 Catalogue. In California, I wear boots all year round with everything from jeans to dresses.  While I love a classic suede slip-on boot, these field boots are a little bit unexpected. They’re based on the classic deck shoes I wear on our family trips to Lake Tahoe and are handmade using supple Italian leather that will look better with age and time. 

These boots look great with cropped jeans—my favorites are by Acne and The Great.  I also love the ’90s feel you get when you wear them with a maxi-dress or skirt. When I’m wearing the boots to drinks or a casual dinner with friends, I stick with a uniform palette to make them feel a bit dressier. Head-to-toe black always looks stylish or, if you went with brown boots, white jeans and a white or ivory blouse would be easy and elegant. XXJKE
